Autor venuje najviac pozornosti vzťahom hlavnej hrdinky s vedľajšími postavami. V jeho podaní je mladá žena značne nevyrovnaná a vrhá sa do erotických dobrodružstiev s každým. Na veku a pohlaví nezáleží. V tomto pohľade si Mrva v ničom nezadá s E L Jamesovou. Teda v oblasti sexu je slovenský autor určite odvážnejší, ale úplne rovnako plytvá slovami. Dalo by sa povedať, že ho vlastne obdivujem, že dokázal napísať štyristošesťdesiattri strán s tak jednoduchou zápletkou. Na rozdiel od Päťdesiatich odtieňov sivej však Zoe aspoň nejaký príbeh (a tým aj zmysel) má.
Veľkú časť románu tvoria opisy citových vzplanutí a pohlavných vyvrcholení. Čitateľ si postupne vznikne na pozvoľné tempo i spôsob písania (striedanie minulého a prítomného času je napokon prekvapivo osviežujúce). Akonáhle pristanete na brakovosť románu, ide o celkom znesiteľné čítanie. Autor trochu neobratne narába s jazykom (nakupovanie v krámikoch, prášenie guľometmi, zbraň vypadávajúca z úchopu...) a neerotická časť knihy občas vyznie ako nesúrodá zmäť akčných scénok.
